Visibility

GetMint visibility insights reveal how your brand performs in AI-generated search results compared to competitors, providing actionable data to improve your AI search presence and organic mention rates. As we saw earlier, all of this visibility analysis depends on the prompts you defined in each of your topics.

Understand Brand Visibility vs. Source Visibility

It’s important to understand the difference between these two metrics:
  • Brand visibility: Your brand is explicitly mentioned in the AI response.
  • Source visibility: Your domain or content is used or cited, even if your brand isn’t named.
You can appear as a source without your brand being mentioned—and vice versa.GetMint tracks both, helping you spot gaps. For example:
  • If your content is cited frequently but your brand isn’t mentioned, it may indicate low brand recognition or authority.
  • If your brand is mentioned often but your content isn’t cited, AI recognizes your name but doesn’t consider your content a trusted reference.
It’s important to work on both of these indicators to increase your overall visibility in AI systems. We will show you how to take action using GetMint, but first let’s focus on reviewing your insights.

Understanding Your Visibility Score

  • Core Visibility Metric: This score shows the percentage of AI responses that mention your brand naturally, indicating how often AI recommends your company without users naming it.
  • Competitive Benchmarking: Compare your visibility score with competitors to see your relative position. Higher scores mean stronger AI presence and better organic brand discovery.
  • Time Period Analysis: Track your visibility over different timeframes to spot trends, improvements, or declines that need attention.
  • Model-Specific Filtering: Check results across all AI models or focus on specific ones like Perplexity, ChatGPT, Claude or Google AIO as each may show different visibility patterns.

Industry share of voice

Industry share of voice analysis looks at all brands mentioned by AI models, not just your selected competitors. It highlights the top 10 most-mentioned brands and calculates each brand’s share of voice based on total industry mentions. Exemple : Mcdonald’s is mentioned in 50 responses out of a total 100 responses tracked. There are a total of 500 companies mentioned accross all 100 responses. The share of voice will be 10% (50/500) This broader view shows your brand’s position within the full market landscape and helps identify emerging competitors or leaders gaining visibility in AI search results.

Top domains and top URLS consulted by AI

Source consultation (analysis tracks which domains AI models reference most when responding to your visibility prompts. It helps identify influential content sources, understand preferences for platforms like YouTube or community sites, and uncover high-impact domains that could offer partnership or content collaboration opportunities. If your content is frequently cited by AI, this allows you to have a strong impact on their discourse and generally increase your visibility. Be aware that each model works differently and does not rely on the same sources. Therefore, make sure to select a specific model to refine the analysis.

Sentiment

GetMint sentiment analysis measures how AI models perceive and present your brand when users ask opinion-based questions.
The system tracks positive, negative, and neutral mentions across multiple AI platforms to provide a comprehensive view of your brand reputation in AI-generated responses.

1. Understanding Your Sentiment Score

Calculation:_ (Positive mentions − Negative mentions) ÷ Total responses. Example: 65 positive and 0 negative = 65%._ Compare sentiment across AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity to see which models portray your brand more positively and uncover opportunities for platform-specific optimization. Track sentiment to spot reputation changes, seasonal patterns, or campaign impact.

2. Analyzing your Sentiment Heat Maps

Sentiment heat maps allow detailed analysis of AI responses about your brand. Green highlights show positive feedback to reinforce messaging, while red highlights indicate areas for improvement. Comparing responses across different AI models helps identify consistent perception patterns and guide content, product, or communication strategies. GetMint also allows you to view the sources consulted by AI to formulate their responses to each prompt. This enables you to discover sources that negatively impact sentiment.

Alignement

1. Understanding and Using Alignment Scores

The alignment score represents the total average of all subscores across different attributes and models. The system uses a comprehensive testing approach: two generic prompts that evaluate all your brand attributes collectively, plus one dedicated prompt for each individual brand attribute to assess specific alignment. These prompts are tested against multiple AI models, analyzing how well each model’s responses reflect your defined brand attributes. Average alignment scores reveal potential gaps between your brand attributes and the content AI models access. This indicates that either your brand attributes may need refinement or your content strategy should be adjusted to better support your messaging.

2. Source Analysis and Improving Brand Alignment

The Source Watchtower reveals which sources AI models consult, helping to identify misaligned or partially aligned sources, including your documentation, website content, and third-party sites. Understanding source influence allows you to pinpoint areas for improvement and manage risks of misrepresentation. By enhancing content quality, updating messaging, and collaborating with influential third-party sites, you can improve alignment. Regular monitoring of alignment scores tracks progress and ensures consistent brand representation across AI platforms. Now that you have defined the right prompts and obtained the correct insights, it is time to take action.
